Julia Merenda, BA, CADC

Therapist

As a therapist with deep experience supporting children, adolescents, and families, I understand that emotional and behavioral challenges can impact every area of life—from home to school to relationships. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, peer conflict, attention difficulties, or adjusting to a family transition like divorce, addiction or recovery, I’m here to help guide you through it with compassion and effective tools.

My approach is holistic and integrative, addressing not just symptoms, but the whole person. I combine evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and family systems work with a trauma-informed lens. I also hold a certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and bring experience in supporting youth and families impacted by substance use.

I believe healing happens in connection—with ourselves, with each other, and within supportive environments. Whether we’re working one-on-one with your child or teen, or engaging in family therapy to strengthen relationships and communication, I strive to create a space where growth and resilience can flourish.

It’s a true privilege to walk alongside young people and their families on the path to healing, clarity, and renewed connection. I invite you to reach out and take the first step—let’s build a better tomorrow, together.

Mike Sacks, MS, LPC, LMFT

Primary Therapist

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, insomnia, anger, or relationship challenges? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. With over 25 years of experience, I provide a warm, supportive space where clients of all ages can learn to manage emotions, build resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating—it can actually be enjoyable. I bring humor and a relaxed, conversational style to each session, helping you feel comfortable as we work together to uncover effective coping strategies and natural healing abilities.

My approach is integrative and personalized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I’ve also developed my own therapeutic techniques over the years, which many clients find highly effective. For individuals experiencing panic attacks or insomnia, I often incorporate biofeedback training to support lasting relief.

I have extensive experience working with children and teens (ages 5–18), including those struggling with ADHD, depression, OCD, social anxiety, aggression, or the emotional effects of divorce. My approach with young clients is creative and engaging, helping them develop the tools they need to thrive.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I invite you to take the first step. Together, we’ll build a path toward healing, clarity, and confidence.

Brian O'Rourke, MS, LPC

Crisis-Intensive Therapist

When individuals and families are in crisis, they need more than surface-level support—they need a therapist who shows up with clarity, experience, and a plan. I specialize in working with clients navigating acute emotional distress, major life transitions, safety concerns, and persistent behavioral or relational challenges. My approach is direct, grounded, and built for real life.

I offer intensive, focused therapeutic support designed to stabilize crisis situations while building long-term coping skills and emotional resilience. Whether working with adolescents in emotional or behavioral crisis, families under stress, or adults managing acute anxiety, trauma, or burnout—I meet clients where they are, with empathy and structure.

My work is eclectic and results-driven. I integrate evidence-based models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and real-time progress tracking to ensure clients and families see measurable outcomes. Therapy is tailored, collaborative, and action-oriented—because progress shouldn’t be vague.

Within this private practice setting, I offer a responsive and flexible model that allows for a deeper level of support when clients need it most. If you’re a parent, provider, or individual seeking meaningful change in the midst of difficult circumstances, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can turn crisis into clarity—and movement toward stability and growth.

Lets Connect!

A key factor in any therapeutic relationship is communication. Effective communication requires trust, and trust can take time to build. Getting started with individual therapy sessions may be scary, but a good therapist will work with you, listen without judgement, and help you gain clarity and insight into your experience.

You can contact me here to get started with your own personal sessions, whether in person or to discuss the potential options available for remote sessions, as appropriate:
